Intralac (Talc Filled Compound)

Description

INTRALAC is a talc-filled PP compound, designed to provide an economical alternative to engineering plastic, with comparable mechanical and thermal properties.
INTRALAC contains very fine particle sized talc with a high aspect ratio to provide the reinforcing property.
Some grades of INTRALAC contain a light stabilizer, which provide high resistance against sun ray, and therefore are suitable to be used for outdoor application.

The advantages of using INTRALAC are:

  • Higher flexural modulus (rigidity)
  • Increased heat deflection temperature (HDT), resulting in excellent dimensional stability at higher temperatures.

Application

INTRALAC are suitable in the manufacture of various products such as household appliances, garden furniture, sheets, bottle crates, industrial tools, electronic and automotive components, etc.
