Polyrub (Thermoplastic Rubber Compound)

Description

POLYRUB is a synthetic thermoplastic rubber compound based on Styrene - Butadiene - Styrene block copolymer. It is designed for the production of moulded and extruded products in the usual thermoplastic processing equipments.

POLYRUB behaves like rubber with many advantages, such as low thermal shrinkage ( 0.4 - 1 % ), light in weight, resistant to decomposition, as well as good balance of physical and mechanical properties. The advantage of POLYRUB is that the scraps and rejects can be easily reprocessed without adverse effects on the properties of the final products (unlike natural rubber, which need vulcanization).

Application

POLYRUB is very suitable for footwear (outer sole, midsole and insole of shoes). They are also used to replace vulcanized rubber in many applications, where high temperature and high chemical resistance are not required.
